Why Fish Wednesday?
On June 7, 2007, I photographed my dinner. It was Wednesday, I was having fish. I had decided that I needed to try to get more protein into my diet and oh, my, do I love seafood. “I don’t know,” I wrote, “Fish Wednesday might have to become a regular event.
Now, I have more than 100 Fish Wednesday posts. Probably enough to write a cookbook, certainly enough to warrant their own home. They’re all gathered here on the Fish Wednesday blog (extracted from my “main” Nerd’s Eye View blog) - as are my other writings about food: love letters to bakeries, restaurant reviews, random thoughts on food and eating, and food related miscellany.
I think I’m a better than average home cook. I’ve published a few stories about food and am taking better photos of my dinner - and whatever else is on my plate - as time goes by. If we find a way to keep our fish populations healthy and thriving, hopefully, one day, I will get it together to compile the recipes I’ve tried here for the Fish Wednesday Cookbook. In the meantime, eat your fish. It’s good for you. Enjoy.
